Welcome to California State University, Monterey Bay! We are excited to welcome you to our campus where over 7,500 students combine to form an amazingly involved and diverse Otter family. CSUMB is a great place to be and we can't wait to show you more about the university at New Student Otter Orientation!
Register for OrientationIt is mandatory that all new students attend New Student Otter Orientation Prior to beginning their first semester at CSUMB. Students who attend orientation will receive early course registration. During New Student Otter Orientation, you will:
- Learn about CSUMB policies, programs, and services
- Hear about the benefits of being involved in the CSUMB community
- Explore campus while meeting new peers and fellow classmates
- Gain an on-campus connection through your Orientation Leader
- Speak with an Academic Advisor from your major
Orientation Dates
All sessions are identical and you are only required to register for one. Keep in mind that space is limited and sessions will close due to capacity. We will honor the first come and first served system. If you need to change your date, please contact the orientation office.
