Salinas Creeks to the Bay

Salinas Creeks to the Bay is a multi-part mist/curriculum program connects 4th-6th grade students to their watershed and the Monterey Bay. Students get an in class visit with Return of the Natives staff, a field trip to their local park/open space (Natividad Creek Park or Upper Carr Lake) and finally a visit to the beach. Through hands on lessons, classroom visits by RON, and outdoor field trips, everyone engages in service activities to protect the bay. Field trips include planting of native plants, weeding, trash pick-up, birding and water quality monitoring.
