Summer 2018- Bailey Gastelum, Rubi Rangel, and Marinn Browne presented a poster at this year's Annual Meeting of the American Society of Mammalogists
in Manhattan, Kansas. Not only did they have a great time meeting other researchers, they also gave an unforgettable karaoke performance of, "Squirrels Just Want to Have Fun".

Spring 2018- Rebecca Roberts has accepted a position as a small mammal research intern at the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Congratulations!
Spring 2018- Andrew Caudillo has been accepted in CSUMB's graduate program in Environmental Science and will begin work on his M.S. degree in Fall 2018. Congratulations!
Fall 2017- Andrew Caudillo and Rebecca Roberts presented individual research projects at CSUMB's Fall 2017 Capstone Festival.
Summer 2017- Adriane Baade presented a researcher poster on her capstone project at this year's Annual Meeting of the American Society of Mammalogists
in Moscow, Idaho. The meeting included diverse oral and poster
presentations, technical workshops, and social events. Adriane was able
to network with some of the best-known researchers in the field, and
she was able to successfully locate potential graduate programs/mentors.
Winter 2017- Adriane Baade, Mary Hernandez, and Summer Wilson presented research
posters with their mentor, Dr. Jenny Duggan, at the Annual Wildlife
Symposium held by the California Central Coast chapter of The Wildlife
Center on January 12, 2017. The posters were well received and provided
a great opportunity for students to network with local wildlife
biologists. The California Central Coast chapter of The Wildlife
Society plans to expand activities, such as lecture series/social hours,
into Monterey this year; stay tuned for updates!
