Physician Assistant Ranked #1 Health Care Job
U.S. News & World Report 2019 job rankings were recently released and have established Physician Assistant as the number one health care job of 2019! Among the incredible statistics behind this rewarding career, there is significant growth expected in the next few years. "The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 37.3% employment growth for physician assistants between 2016 and 2026. In that period, an estimated 39,600 jobs should open up" (U.S. News & World Report).

CSUMB MSPA Program Welcomes Inaugural Cohort
On January 7, 2019, the CSUMB Master of Science Physician Assistant program began classes at CSUMB @ North Salinas. The program welcomed the inaugural cohort of 32 students from the local tri-counties, throughout California, and 5 other states. Students were selected through a rigorous and holistic admissions process based on GPA, clinical experience, community service, PA shadowing, and other criteria. The inaugural cohort will graduate in May 2021.
