Canvas Pilot Timeline

The first stage of the timeline was determined by the STC and CAT to commence in December, 2017 and be completed at the end of the Spring term (May, 2018)

• October, 2017 - discussions with Canvas and CSU CO on pilot timeline; initial call for faculty participants through STC
• December, 2017 - Canvas shell created and faculty participation selected
• January, 2018 - SSO enabled; branding completed; backend tasks completed
• January, 2018 - Canvas Help Chat and Phone enabled; Canvas mobile app pushed
• February, 2018 - First student perception survey; first pilot faculty meeting
• March, 2018 - Midterm student perception survey; midterm pilot faculty meeting
• April, 2018 - Final student perception survey; final review to STC and CIO
• May, 2018 - Expanded pilot decision in conjunction with Moodle 3.4 upgrade
