  • CSUMB-SAS Event/Workshop

    On May 10th, SAS Global Academic Program and the College of Business organized faculty workshops aimed at discovering various opportunities in data analytics techniques. SAS has been incorporated into the B.S. Business Administration program curriculum, with an option to earn a SAS Business Analytics Joint Certificate, to impart critical skills needed for our students to succeed in a contemporary job market.

  • CSUMB Students of 'Applied Logistics' visit Floricultura for Class Tour

    On March, 5th, 2019, students of BUS 437 visited Floricultura (https://www.floricultura.com/eng/) in Salinas, CA to see various Business Operations. Don Howell, the manager for Floricultura explained the nuances of Orchids, demand from customers, day to day operations and managing inventory year around for all of its customers.

  • College of Business Students Win Annual CSU Student Research Competition

    Brishna Nader and Cris de los Santos received first place honors in the 33rd Annual CSU Student Research Competition held at CSU Fullerton on Friday, April 26th, and Saturday, April 27th.

  • Applied Logistics Class Tour at Monterey Mushrooms

    On April 11th, 2019, students of BUS 437 visited Monterey Mushrooms (https://www.montereymushrooms.com) at the Royal Oaks Facility in California. Ms. Juana Gomez, Director of HR, shared about the company's operations as well as other locations across the U.S. and in Mexico. Mr. Matt Fuller, Manager, shared the details of his career journey and gave a detailed tour of the site, explaining the various stages of growing thousands of pounds of mushrooms a day. Read more...

  • CalCPA Scholarship Awarded to Brooke Baumgardner and Beth Johnson

    Brooke Baumgardner and Beth Johnson were awarded the CalCPA scholarship for 2019 by the San Jose chapter of the Silicon Valley. They are business students in the accounting concentration and were nominated by College of Business faculty for outstanding academics and service.

  • GradFest 2019

    April 3rd & 4th - GradFest is a one-stop shop for graduating seniors. Purchase your cap and gown, order Commencement invitations, have your graduation portrait taken, elect to keep your CSUMB email and socialize with other graduates. Tickets will not be available at the Fall GradFest.

  • SHM Program goes to ProStart

    March 15th & 16th - The Sustainable Hospitality Management program was represented at the 2019 CA ProStart Cup in Pomona, CA, by program Executive Director John Avella, Professor Roberta Atzori, and Marquise from CSUMB admissions. The event stimulated a lot of interest in the program.
