What is Lime-S?
Lime-S is a scooter-share program run by Lime. Electric scooters are available to unlock and ride across or off campus.

How to Ride
To start riding download the app, sign up using your phone number, email or Facebook profile. Then walk to the nearest scooter, unlock using the app and begin your ride. Follow the in-app tutorial and safety tips above. Happy scooting! Learn more on the Lime website.

$1 to unlock and $0.15 cents per minute

Qualifying is simple! All you need to provide is your full name, phone number, valid government-issued photo ID, and proof of low-income status. Apply online at LimeAccess Application.
Lime-S electric scooters are 50% off for Access members: $0.50 to unlock, and $0.07/min.

Follow these Safety Tips
- CA law requires wearing a helmet while riding.
- CA law requires the rider to hold a drivers license or permit.
- Yield to pedestrians
- One rider per scooter
- Do not bring scooters indoors
- Leave at least one ear free of headphones while riding
- Park scooters near building entrances, on pavement, but clear of any doorways and pathways
- Walk scooters in crosswalks and busy pathways

CSUMB Student Housing Community Standards
Lime scooters indoors: Per Student Housing Community Standards Lime scooters are not allowed inside of any residential building on campus. Lime scooters are owned by Lime, not by individual residents, therefore there is no need for them to enter the building as they should be outside for public use. This policy also applies to charging Lime scooters. Residents are prohibited from bringing Lime scooters into any residential building to charge them. Individuals found in possession of such prohibited devices may be subject to conduct action.
