Class of 2018
B.F.A. (Fine Art) The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
I’m a science illustrator with an emphasis on evolutionary and paleontological subjects. I moved to Chicago from St. Louis to pursue my artistic career at SAIC. Most of my time at school was spent taking art classes at the Field Museum, where I had a never ending host of subjects to draw from. I really fell in love with all kinds of ancient animals there; and began to focus on fossils, bones, and reconstructions in my practice. The time I’ve spent here in California learning amongst my talented peers has really allowed me to flourish as an artist. My goal is to portray all subjects with accuracy and detail, as well as make complex scientific information accessible to all audiences.
