Christine Elder is a naturalist, environmental educator and visual artist residing in Oregon. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology with additional field experience at the Rocky Mountain Biological Lab. She has worked for over 20 years as a freelance biological illustrator coupled with graphic design and website design projects, with clients such as the Botanical Society of America, New England Aquarium, Sierra Streams Institute, Birds Caribbean, and the Sequoia Natural History Association. When not working in her studio, she travels extensively throughout the Western Hemisphere as a birdwatching tour guide and also to teach workshops and retreats for nature-loving artists, in such far-flung locations as Alaska, Jamaica and Honduras.
