Critical group discussion of music as both profession and academic discipline. Students choose a capstone research area and map an emphasis pathway that aligns with the chosen research topic. Introduction to basic research and citation skills, and to music's subdisciplines, their methodologies, and their citation strategies. Guest presentations complement discussion and provoke students to consider new research areas.(Prereq: Junior Standing) and (Coreq: MPA 304)
