Instructor
Examines American literature through different historical periods, literary genres, and cultural movements. Develops ability to compare and contrast social, historical, and cultural experiences represented in literature. Students gain cross-cultural knowledge of American literary history, an introduction to literary theory, and further development of literary analysis skills. (Prereq: GE Area A1 and A2 and A3 with a C- or better)
