CSU Monterey Bay, partners with Virtual Education Software, inc. (VESi) to offer online, continuing education courses for K-12 educators. These interactive courses are offered for CEUs (credit/no credit grade) and with Official Professional Development Transcripts issued by CSUMB Extended Education. Courses reflect today's significant educational and social issues in schools and are provided by expert instructors at a pace that fits your schedule.
CSUMB and VESi advise that you check with your school district and/or state licensing agency to verify these course offerings will meet your district and/or state requirements for salary advancement and/or state certificate re-licensure.
VESi courses are tablet compatible, making it easy for you to recertify anytime, anywhere with reliable, stable online access.
Students have a minimum of two weeks and up to one year to complete your course. Upon completion, please allow approximately three weeks for CSUMB to receive and update your student records.
Students may register anytime. The date of registration relates to CSUMB terms: Summer, Fall, or Spring
Students register and pay fees to VESi directly. Official student records are updated within CSUMB College of Extended Education, Professional Development student database.
CEUs are the unit value and are included in VESi course registration. No additional action is required with CSUMB.
Course numbers are 700 series: VESi 7xx
CEUs are not academic units. For conversion purposes: One (1.0) CEU is equivalent to one (1.0) non-academic quarter unit value.
