Injury and Illness Prevention Program

The California state regulations require every employer to establish, implement and maintain an effective injury prevention program. H&S has developed a campus-wide Illness and Injury Prevention Program that outlines the overall plan for University compliance.

H&S is responsible for overseeing the University IIPP. Tasks include:

• Performing work area inspections in collaboration with the Building Emergency Coordinator(s)
• Identifying and correcting unsafe acts and conditions
• Informing employees of unsafe conditions that cannot be immediately corrected
• Accident review/investigation
