My Dear Friends of the CSUMB Jewish Community,
Once again a Jewish Holy Day has been used to create hurt, fear, pain and death, upon people gathered in peaceful and loving worship. This last week that should be kept holy for all has been used for violence upon Christians in Sri Lanka, "People who looked Muslims" in San Jose, CA and now are Jewish brothers and sisters in Poway, CA.
As Chaplains at CSUMB we work to make our campus a safe place and a power bright light of religious diversity and celebration to the greater community. Know that we stand with you in tears and walk proudly with you in peace against hate and intolerance. We are here to support you. Please let us know what we can do to help in being present to your needs and healing. Our hearts and time are yours.
Peace, Jon +
