Role of Mini-Corps Tutors

The tutor works with migratory children in K-12 classrooms, under the supervision of a classroom teacher. Tutors encourage migratory children to continue their education and provide a communication link between the migrant child, his/her parents, and the school. The tutor is an advocate for the migratory child.

How can you become a Mini-Corps tutor?

  • If you are a bilingual college undergraduate, have an interest in teaching, have a financial need, and have a migratory or farm-working background, contact Eva Silva: esilva@bcoe.org
