Last day for online writing submissions is Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
Online Writing Tutoring
Online writing works by uploading your writing for review by a tutor. A writing tutor will record a short video with feedback and send it to you via email. Turnaround time depends on the volume of submissions. We generally respond within 48 hours (excluding weekends), but during busy times in the semester, it may take longer.
Note: You must be signed into your CSUMB Gmail account before clicking the link. If you have difficulties accessing the submission form, please email: clc@csumb.edu
How to prepare and submit your writing for Online Writing Tutoring:
- Plan ahead. If you are working on a longer writing project (more than 5 pages), please submit in sections rather than waiting until the full draft is finished. For example, you could submit your introduction section on Monday, and then write your methods section to submit on Wednesday. Once you have submitted the paper in sections, you can submit the full draft and ask the tutor for feedback on the overall product.
- Include the assignment instructions. When possible, upload the prompt or copy and paste the teacher’s instructions at the beginning of your draft. The more information you provide, the more assistance the tutor can offer.
- Tell us what concerns you have about your writing. The tutor will focus on 2 or 3 priority areas for revision, so telling the tutor your main concerns will help you get the feedback you need the most.
