To provide students an opportunity to examine concepts/theories utilizing medical anthropology lens and then apply this knowledge to the complexities of socio-cultural constructs of health/illness. This will allow students to examine their own beliefs and values of health/well-being and to apply this to understanding complexities within healthcare related decision-making. Apply principles of sociological theories/concepts of health promotion in local/diverse globalized healthcare settings.(Prereq: NURS 300 and NURS 301 and NURS 302)
