This foundation generalist practice course introduces students to tools and strategies for agency and community engagement, community organizing, and understanding social justice theory as it is practiced in the community and organizations in which social workers serve. It develops students¿ capacities to critically engage in reflection in order to address oppression and utilize the concept of social justice to alleviate human suffering. May be offered as a classroom or hybrid-based course.(Prereq: SW 501 and Master's in Social Work Majors only)
