Note: Course has prerequisite(s).
Students are introduced to the principles of narrative theory as well as the expressive tools of cinema. Students analyze media to understand how framing, camera movement, mise en scene lighting and sound are used to express character and tell stories, applying this understanding during short exercises. Students build a repertoire of cinematic tools and techniques.(Prereq: CART 200)
