Instructor
Pitch topics include melodic chromaticism, secondary dominants, modulation to closely related keys, and harmonic progressions with all inversions possible; rhythmic topics include triplets at the subdivision and beat level, duplets and quartolets at the beat level in compound meter, and syncopation. Students perform and sight-read exercises. Individual sight-singing, rhythmic, and dictation examinations.[(Prereq: MPA 105) and (Prereq or Coreq: MPA 102)]
