In this course, students explore scholarly literature in Human Development and Family Science to critically examine the purposes and processes of reading and writing within the discipline. Students develop skills for identifying appropriate credible sources, and for critically reading, understanding, and evaluating scholarly literature. Students examine their own reading and writing process and practice strategies to enhance their comprehension and communication of HDFS knowledge for professional and community audiences. (Prereq: GE Areas A1 and A2 and A3 with a C- or better)
