Studies the value of visualization, historical and modern, and evaluation and critique of visualizations in literature and media. Develops methods, procedures, and application tools and software used to summarize and visualize data for both explanatory and exploratory purposes. Requires the creation visualizations, including information visualizations and scientific visualizations, and the assessment of when and how to best leverage data visualization methods in a variety of contexts.[Prereq: (GE Areas A1 and A2 and A3 and B4) and (MATH 320 or STAT 250 or STAT 100 or BUS 204) with a C- or better]
