    Applying the 13 MLOs of the CHHS major, students work individually with field mentors and the course instructor to design an applied research project that addresses a health or social problem in the community. In the first semester, students formulate a field-based problem that is conducive for analysis, identify its causes, and justify the need for action through a literature review. The culmination is a proposal that is submitted to their field mentor and CHHS faculty for approval.[(Prereq: CHHS 302 and CHHS 385 and SW 310 and PH 320 with a C- or better) and (Coreq: CHHS 496A)]
