Health Psychology (also referred to as Behavioral Medicine) examines the complex interplay of biological, interpersonal, social and environment factors that contribute to health and disease. This advanced course emphasizes the biopsychosocial model for disease prevention and management of chronic illnesses. Interventions focus on behavioral lifestyle changes, stress management, coping skills and adjustment to illness.
