Provides an introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the context of social and behavioral sciences. Covers basic GIS concepts as well as mapping applications across disciplines, including anthropology, archaeology, economics, geography, history, political science, and sociology. Students learn to examine the patterns and processes of social, economic, political, and cultural features on Earth's surface with the assistance of GIS technology.(Coreq: SBS 361L)
