Note: Students must be available to meet on 2 additional Tuesday evenings and 6 Saturdays or Sundays. Dates will be provided by instructor.

Through active work directly with people in medically underserved communities, students discover how class, ethnicity, language, and immigration status affect access to health care in the Monterey County. Through service, journaling, readings, and data analysis students will explore medical access issues and the factors that lead to social injustice and inequity.[Prereq: (BIO 210 and BIO 211) with a C- or better]
