Students develop written and oral communication and critical thinking skills in the context of writing a case study on a complex environmental issue. The case study integrates science and policy, and includes critical review and synthesis of relevant publications and literature, as well as the perspectives of diverse stakeholders, and stakeholder interviews. [(Prereq: (GE Areas A1 and A2 and A3) and (BIO 230 or BIO 211) with a C- or better)]
