Information Security & Data Access

In compliance with California State University’s Information Security Policy 8035, state employees are provided basic information security awareness training at the time of hire and periodically thereafter. All stateside staff, faculty and student assistants on campus are assigned to take the security awareness training course through SumTotal:

• This web-based training will help you safeguard personal information as well as sensitive university data.
• This training is provided to every CSU stateside employee, corporation employee and stateside person of interest and should be refreshed yearly.
• Compliance is required for access to campus information systems containing regulatorily protected data.

Once assigned, we request that you complete your training within 30-days to avoid interruption of your access to campus information systems.
