Biography

After retiring from business management, Ted taught Organizational Behavior in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University and now teaches the online course CST 273 at CSUMB. He recently served as an assessment scholar for CSUMB's Written Communication Institutional Learning Outcomes, was a member of the ILO 2/3 Academic Senate Task Force, and served on the ILO Threshold Concepts Workgroup for Information Literacy. Previously, Ted had a career in business serving as a corporate executive and founder of two technology startups and a management consulting firm. His most recent company provided a cloud-based collaborative knowledge sharing platform that was adopted by such industry leaders as Cisco Systems, General Motors, HP, IBM, Oracle and Texas Instruments. Prior to that he founded the Seagate Institute of Technology and served as the corporate learning director for Conner Peripherals when it was the fastest growing corporation in American history. Ted was a corporate sponsor of the World Affairs Council of Northern California, served as director for the Silicon Valley eLearning Forum and the Association for Talent Development, and was the author of the popular management book, Blueprint for Quality. He began his career working in local government with Santa Barbara City Schools, the City of Santa Barbara, and the Community Action Agencies of Washoe and Santa Barbara counties.
