
Julie Cooper Altman is a Professor in CSUMB's Master of Social Work (MSW) Program. Her research has explored practice issues in child welfare and the importance of worker-parent relationships in client service use. An active practitioner prior to beginning her academic career, she recognizes the importance of producing useful knowledge for the profession, grounding her work in the reality of the practice world. The author of numerous publications, a national and international presenter, and twice a Fulbright Scholar, she is delighted to be part of the CSUMB community.
