I was raised in Salinas, California, in beautiful Monterey County. I've always had an interest in science, computers, and math. Growing up, I never realized I was going to study mathematics until I started community college in the Monterey area. I spent the next three years after high school working full time at a golf course and studying math full time. After finishing my studies at Monterey Peninsula College, I transferred to Cal State Monterey Bay where my love for mathematics and math education flourished. I've tutored, held workshops and mentored at CSUMB for a wide range of core math courses. During my Graduate studies at San Jose State University, I was involved in a wide variety of projects. I've also aided in the Navajo Math circles in Arizona and in the San Jose math circles. I graded and proctored exams for Differential Equations, Calculus 1,2 and 3, Number Theory. I spent two years as a Teaching Associate at San Jose State, where I taught College Algebra and Remedial Math. My current research interests are in Algebra, Graph Theory, Riemannian Geometry, General Relativity, Biological Systems, and Bioinformatics.
