Chi-Chun Chou

Dr. Chou is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Business at California State University, Monterey Bay. He teaches BUS 383 Intermediate Accounting I and BUS 384 Intermediate Accounting II in COB. He received his Doctorate degree from National Cheng-Chi University in Taiwan. He has studied issues in accounting information systems with the emphasis on XBRL technology, ontological engineering, information system assurance and other emerging IT issues in accounting and finance. His research has been published in several international journals, including International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, International Journal of Economics and Business Research, TQM and Business Excellence, Expert System with Applications, Review of Accounting and Finance, International Journal of Intelligent Systems in Accounting, etc. He is also one of the leading Academic Counselors of Financial Supervisory Commission and Taiwan Stock Exchange for XBRL adoption in Taiwan’s security market. In the past a few years, he also serves as a committee member both for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) in Taiwan.
