LS 303: Introduction to Agricultural Education

Course description

This is an introductory course with an emphasis on formal and informal agricultural education in grades K-8. Students explore careers and such concepts as upward mobility, agricultural literacy, and quantitative literacy. Students examine integrated agricultural education program development based on community need. Students broaden their understanding of agriculture and how it relates to their own lives. Students participate in at least two off-campus experiences in the agriculture industry.
