HCOM 358: Critical Perspective on Law in Society

Course description

Broadly introduces law in society from interdisciplinary global perspectives. Focuses on intersections of law with everyday life and how law is shaped by and shapes its social context. Special attention to how race, ethnicity, class, gender and sexual orientation relate to law and legal systems. (Prereq: GE Area A1 and A2 and A3 with a C- or better)
